About Us

Sunshine Wines is a unique, local gourmet shop located in the heart of Downtown Blackstone, VA. We focus on Virginia wines but also offer much more! We are proud to offer over 80 different wines from more than 20 different Virginia vineyards. We also carry craft-style beers from more than 30 domestic breweries, including four Virginia breweries: Legends, Starr Hill, Blue Mountain, and St. George Brewing Co. Our selection of gourmet foods, dips, sauces, crackers, cookies and gourmet snacks is comparable to shops found in Richmond or Williamsburg. We believe strongly in local and U.S.-made companies and products: over two-thirds of our wine selection is made right here in Virginia! We also feature artwork from local "Virginia Wine Artist" Christopher Mize. Our passion is to educate ourselves and our customers on Virginia wines and winemaking in general; our regular Friday Night Wine Tastings provide a wonderful opportunity for our customers to hear directly from vineyard representatives about their wines, winemakers, and vineyards in a fun, intimate setting.
